This Year ALBANY is Coming to US!

Can’t make it to Albany for Physician Lobby Day this year?
It’s OK, because this year ALBANY IS COMING TO US!

A live, web-conference with the governor and other elected officials will take place Monday, March 7 from 5:30-7:30pm in the Wisdom Conference Center at St. Charles, for all Mather - St. Charles medical staff.  St. Charles is one of only 9 remote sites throughout New York State chosen to host live streaming of the MSSNY Legislative Open Forum.

Participate in this exciting event with Governor Andrew Cuomo or his designee; Senator Kemp Hannon and Assemblyman Richard Gottfried, the Chairs respectively of the Senate and Assembly Health Committees; and Senator James Seward and Assemblyman Joseph Morelle, the Chairs respectively of the Senate and Assembly Insurance Committees. Live and remote attendees are encouraged to supply questions for our guests to MSSNY in advance. Dr. Jerome Cohen and Dr. Kira Geraci-Ciardullo, MSSNY’s Speaker and Vice-Speaker, will ask the questions and moderate the two-way discussion.

If you would like to ask a question, please send it in advance to the following address: lobbyquestions@mssny.org.

Penultimate Physician Team Meeting, Thursday, Feb 3.

Second to last meeting eveyone and this one is mighty important because it will walk us all through the discharge process. Please make every effort to be there as we are nearing the end. We will be wrapping up soon and that's the last meeting, set probably for the week after...

Its been a fun couple of months and we are nearing the end of the design phase of Sunrise Acute Care. As I have said before we only have tomorrow's meeting and one more and we're done. Tomorrow's meeting will be about the discharge procedure which is relevant to everyone. The goal is to show everyone how simple or difficult this is so that we all know what to expect. I'm hoping that the meeting tomorrow will be short but rest assured this is one of those things that is very important because just like admissions, everyone discharges and this is your chance to comment on it so that we can make the necessary changes to the process. I hope to see you all tomorrow and here is the powerpoint presentation so that you can see what we'll be addressing tomorrow.   You may also CLICK HERE, to review the slide deck.

Thank you all.

Best Regards,
Joseph
